The Retaks
Expression Tour kick off at Extreme Thing will
be the first annual “Retaks Battle of
the Shops” Half Pipe Skateboard Competition.
AM’s and amateurs are invited to compete.
You don’t have to be on the shop’s
team. Any participating skater can sign up at
any of the participating business' and if that
competitor who signed up at your shop wins,
your shop gets the credit and will receive the
"Extreme Thing - RETAKS
- Battle of the Shops" Trophy to display
in your shop for the year.
Goal: To encourage local participation
amongst industry or lifestyle stores to get
involved and assist with participant registrations
as well as product support. Each shop participating
shop willbe required to donate prizes for 1st
thru 3rd place,
and will be invited to do a product toss at
various times during the day. The shops will
receive a 3’x8’ spot on the highly
visible banner tower located
at the backside of the ramp. Each shop is also
invited to contribute to the athlete gift bag
that is given to each participant.
Contest: Limited
to 60-80 competitors.
Entry fee is $20 which includes
"one" general admission to the event,
plus a competitor wristbands for the Retaks
Competition, and a Retaks
Competitor gift bag. Minors under the age of
18 will be allowed 1 parent or guardian pass
as they will be required to sign off on a liability
waiver on site prior to competition beginning.

Pre-registration will take place at any of the
following sites: Announced March 1, 2009
On Site Check In:
Will take place at Retaks Booth located next
to Ticket Sales Booth from 9a-1pm
Format: There
will not be any age or AM – amateur classifications.
Everyone will battle against each other. We
will have multiple jam sessions of 10+-
to get down to the top 12. These top 12 will
be announced and displayed on the website, etc.
From there we will have jam sessions of possibly
3 or 4 to get down to the top 3. These top 3
will battle it out for 3rd, 2nd, & 1st place.
